As some of you know already, I have finally found an apartment! I can’t begin to explain just how excited I - OH WAIT! Yes I can. I’m like a puppy who was just given a bone bigger than he is… on Christmas… after eight days of bones on Hanukkah. Maybe you can understand that? Maybe you can’t. But, I’m sure you can see where I’m coming from here, I’m freaking pumped! The space is beautiful, and empty, and the move begins today! Well, we sign today, and Amy, my roommate, is bringing her first box. I’m going to bring a first “something” too, just haven’t decided yet. So, this blog has been mainly a photo blog, but I thought I might start blogging about my apartment design and decoration here as well. I’ll take some pictures of the space today, and post them later. I only have some iPhone photos right now. BUT, to get this all started, I thought I’d let you in on a little decision I am trying to make… To loft, or not to loft, that is the question. I have always had a little warm spot in my big heart for lofted beds. Maybe it’s because I never had one as a kid, but whatever the reason, I’ve always wanted one. College provided me with an awful bunk bed, two years in a row, but that didn’t do it for me. So here I am, with a smallish Chicago bedroom, and a blank slate. Should I build a lofted bed??? I have been looking at things OTHER people have done with “adult” loft beds, and there are some designs that don’t look half bad. I’ll post what I have found here, and please, let me know your ideas! If you click on the direct link, I THINK you can comment that way.

this last one is wayyy to fancy/large for me, but i love the idea.
what do YOU think?
